Tips to deal with frozen programs

Before buying a computer you need to buy according to the usage, most of the people do not do this, they either buy a higher configuration or a lower configuration, buying a higher configuration is costly in comparison to a lower configuration. Frozen program is a frequent problem for people who are having a low configuration it does not mean that people with higher configuration will not have a hick up while working, these are the reasons why programs are froze.

False installation: suppose you have installed a software, and you have not properly included all the components for the software after you installed it and then tried to run it , it will throw a false installation error and the program will be frozen, and also it joins another program and makes desktop inaccessible, sometimes you can move the mouse , sometimes you cannot do anything about it.
Frozen program can happen due to a virus – If your system is not been protected by a virus, or if you have downloaded a pirated software and installed in your system it throws a program error.
Frozen programs can happen due to overuse of applications – You should really know the capacity of your Processor and RAM if you open 200 windows, for example, if it contains web pages, applications, your yahoo chat messenger and other software’s, Your RAM has only limited capacity according to the size of it. A 4GBRAM can only accomodate 4 GB of virtual space then it will not allow you to store , in this case there is a chance of programs getting frozen.
Frozen programs can happen due to false looping structure, for example if you are an developer, you work on a code where there is a looping structure if you do not close the loop and run the application it ends up being frozen.

These tips will help you handle the frozen programs.

Just do not panic, right click the task bar from their open the window Task manager, you will see a list of applications and processes, you should which application has caused the damage, if you can find it, just click that item and click End process, as soon as the process ends all the windows will be released you can start working back to normal.
From the task manager select the application name and click End Process .
Increase the virtual memory of your desktop.
Do not run applications which are not being scanned by anti virus software.
Do not install programs, which are from entrusted sites , pirated programs, which can carry malicious file in the .exe file.

If you follow these tips you can easily handle frozen programs.

Data archiving of full database?

In Ms SQL 2008 archiving is easy through the help of SQL Server Management Studio To do Ms Sql data archiving you need to follow these steps:

Connect to the desired Microsoft Sql Database engine, click Object explorer from there select the server name and expand the sub menu’s.
Select a system database from the expanded sub menu
Right click the selected database and then click the context menu named Backup. Dialog box will open with the list of databases you can select any database from the list.
Four type of data recovery is possible like Simple, Logged, Bulk and Full. Now we are going to do full data archiving of database click full from the list of options.
Two types of Data archiving is possible, Copy only backup and Differential backup. Copy only backup is not a conventional backup because when you take a backup of a database, there are chances that a database could be changed while taking a backup or it can create a problem when restored.
Click backup component and select Database and type a name for the backed up database and specify the location where it has to be stored.
Finally select the location of where the backup has to be stored select type whether the data needs to be stored in a tape or hard drive. After selecting it select the Overwrite media option as Backup with the media set and make sure you check the reliability option .

After checking you can go to this URL location http://rubyinstaller.rubyforge.org and click download and run the installer that’s it you are done.

Installing Ruby on Rails in Mac OS X

1. First you need to check for the basic requirements, check whether the environment is OS X version 10.4( tiger) ships with the version Ruby 1.8.2 , do this check by initiating the main terminal application from there navigation to Applications From applications to utilities and just double click with your mouse on terminal and make sure you enter RUBY –V in the prompt if you get a error message back then it is understood that ruby is not installed. If you don’t have the Tiger version you need to install ruby 1.8.2 or the latest versions.

2. Installation of ruby gems visit http://rubygems.rubyforge.org and click download your Operating system will extract the archive just point out to a download directory. After doing it go the following directory and open the application and click the following commands
• User> tar xzf rubygems-0.8.10.tar.gz
• User>cd rubygems-0.8.10
• rubygems-0.8.10> sudo ruby setup.rb
• password: you are done
3. Its time to install the Ruby gems to run on rails. Open the terminal application and type these following commands user> sudo gem install rails — include-dependencies you are doing you are now on rails.

Assembling a System

When you buy a new system it should be properly assembled and it should connect properly in mother board and also the cord connecting to hard disk must be properly inserted into the right slot. You need to follow the diagram given about the processor, you need to carefully follow it and implement. Remember if you change anything then you will have to face serious consequences. Ram should be properly inserted even if the sides change it can seriously affect the motherboard and the processor leading to a greater damage. Take care of the above points and assemble the system carefully.

Installation process of Operating System

To install a Operating system first you need to switch on your computer and then you will see a panel in the monitor, it will display some options on the bottom of the panel like DEL, F2 these are the options you will find to setup BIOS mode, at the start either you can press DELETE key or F2 key it varies according to each system.

Then BIOS panel will be displayed and it has some menus in it and checks whether all components are properly present in the boot area and then set date and time properly. After setting the date and time you will see a main screen of the BIOS setting on your monitor.

Initially you need to find and go to Standard Settings of CMOS and make sure all drives are properly connected to the motherboard. If it is not connected immediately turn off your system and take out every plug from the switch box and then check the drives plug whether it is correctly connected or not. If it is not connected properly then remove everything and reinsert once again and then restart your system and check again the BIOS mode that has been mentioned before.

Make sure you check all the drives and ensure whether they are connected properly to the motherboard and then move on to Advance BIOS features panel and press enter to check out the boot area and setup all drives correctly and save the BIOS setting. Now you are ready to install an operating system.

Now you can insert a service pack disk in to your CD drive and then windows setup panel is displayed on your monitor and then follow the instructions you see in the windows boot area. Press enter key to install an Operating system, after preparing to install it will display a dialog box in that you need to enter a computer name (for Identifying Network name), work group, organization and then want to enter the serial key number and press ok button. Then the operating system will be installed automatically. After that you can install the motherboard CD for Display, sound recording etc.
