Tips to deal with frozen programs

Before buying a computer you need to buy according to the usage, most of the people do not do this, they either buy a higher configuration or a lower configuration, buying a higher configuration is costly in comparison to a lower configuration.  Frozen program is a frequent problem for people who are having a low configuration it does not mean that people with higher configuration will not have a hick up while working, these are the reasons why programs are froze.

  • False installation: suppose you have installed a software, and you have not properly included all the components for the software after you installed it and then tried to run it , it will throw a false installation error and the program will be frozen, and also it joins another program and makes desktop inaccessible, sometimes you can move the mouse , sometimes you cannot do anything about  it.
  • Frozen program can happen due to a virus – If your system is not been protected by a virus, or if you have downloaded a pirated software and installed in your system it throws a program error.
  • Frozen programs can happen due to overuse of applications – You should really know the capacity of your Processor and RAM if you open 200 windows,  for example, if it contains web pages, applications, your yahoo chat messenger  and other software’s, Your RAM has only limited capacity according to the size of it.  A 4GBRAM can only accomodate 4 GB of virtual space then it will not allow you to store , in this case there is a chance of programs getting frozen.
  • Frozen programs can happen due to false looping structure, for example if you are an developer, you work on a code where there is a looping structure if you do not close the loop and run the application it ends up being frozen.

These tips will help you handle the frozen programs.

  • Just do not panic, right click the task bar from their open the window Task manager, you will see a list of applications and processes, you should which application has caused the damage, if you can find it, just click that item and click End process, as soon as the process ends all the windows will be released you can start working back to normal.
  • From the task manager select the application name and click End Process .
  • Increase the virtual memory of your desktop.
  • Do not run applications which are not being scanned by anti virus software.
  • Do not install programs, which are from entrusted sites , pirated programs, which can carry malicious file in the .exe file.
