CD/DVD is a importance source of storage, we record important documents, work profiles, images, etc in a CD. CD are available for cheap because of the fact people do not maintain a CD properly neither they handle the CD nor DVD properly because of this reason CD will get more scratches disables the CD /DVD writer to read the contents of the disc. Just imagine if you have stored very important files in CD/DVD where you do not have a backup of those things your data will be lost. Instead of keeping your hands on the head about the loss you can think about recovering the CD/DVD. My techniques are going to be very simple as these ideas have been picked up from day to day life and these are tested and proven methods of removing scratches from a CD/DVD.
Remove Scratches in CD/DVD through these techniques
Basically if you look at the bottom of the CD I mean the other side apart from the label, you can see a plastic layer, the fact is the plastic layer is spoiled not exactly the data part but still CD/DVD players depend mostly on that plastic layer, if that plastic layer is clean then CD/DVD players can read it easily. These are some basic proven techniques that you can follow to remove scratches in a DVD or a CD.
- You may think funny but the best choice I would say is a Banana skin or a Chewing gum, Wash the CD or DVD with warm water hold the chewing gum try to rub it gently without applying more pressure, after you have rubbed all the part then you clean the disc with warm water, see scratches will be reduced.
- Next technique is to use a Soda or soft drinks like pepsi, Coca-Cola, and sprite. You mix it with water can reduce the scratches in a take a small quantity of Soda and mix it with water and scrub the CD/DVD you will see the scratches will be gone. You need to use it with caution, over usage of these things will worsen the chances of CD/DVD getting repaired.
- Tooth Gel is another technique to remove it , just apply it as a paste , take a piece of cloth slowly scrub the CD/DVD and clean it with warm water.
These techniques are proven techniques, but before you apply to a important CD, you apply these techniques with a dummy DVD/CD , if you see the results continue doing it with your real DVD/CD.
