For a computer professional , they know the importance of a computer, A running computer hampered due to a virus is a hard thing to digest, it stops all the important official and personal work and also if you are not protected you might face severe loss of data. A virus or a spy ware can come from a CD/DVD, USB  and also through browsing web pages you need to take precautionary measures to avoid virus entering into the system.

Eight Safety tips for computer before you are affected by a virus.

  • If you put a CD/DVD in your computer  before copying any data make sure you check with your anti-virus software and also your spy ware software once you check then allow the files to be copied into the hard disk.
  • Always save files in ” D drive “assuming that your operating system is  installed in C drive, virus first attacks the operating system that is your C drive even you cannot stop the virus , your valuable data will be protected because you stored it in a D drive.
  • Virus can enter your system through USB , because people enter the USB drive into  different computers they do not know which computer is being affected by the virus once you put the USB inside your computer virus will be loaded to the operating system, some USB virus can manipulate each folder of your hard drive and in the end you need to delete all the files in the hard disk. Scan the USB with an anti-virus  software and also with spy ware software then allow it to function.
  • Do scan your system with registry cleaner, spy ware  remover and anti-virus software daily.  Make sure you update it daily.
  • Read enough reviews online before purchasing any anti-virus software , spy ware remover or even a registry cleaner.
  • Disk-clean up everyday to make your computer function fast and also by typing %temp% in the RUN command you can clean up the temp files. You should make this as a daily routine.
  • Make sure the firewall is enabled and the antivirus software is running while browsing through the web pages. Do not go to websites where you can download cracks/serials.
  • Do not download any files from email with an .Exe extension from unknown people or even a picture. Most of the free email providers stop those files, but still they send it through other ways so be careful.
