Doing business is not an easy task, continuous development and research on your competition, product or service is a very important element for your business growth. Business analysis comes to play when you decide to launch a new product or in the process of its development where your strategies on your marketing plan are prepared. Basic Business analysis includes your estimation of expenses, sales and profitability.
Business analysis helps to improve the important functions and activities of a business, and also it helps to reduce the overall costs ,accurately use the resources and bring more satisfaction to the clients, end-users or customers. The individual who does this task is called a business analyst.
Role of Business analyst
Being a business analyst holds a lot of responsibility and the scope is very wide, most of the business analyst are well versed in one of the three sets of activities, which determine the scope of business analysis. These three activities are:

- Business Strategist
- Systems analyst
Business Improvement architects.
Business analyst should study properly about the objectives, processes and resources and should recommend ways by which re-design or improvements can happen immediately. Business analyst must possess soft skills , knowledge of the business , should know stakeholder analysis and also should have hard skills namely business process modeling. This role of a business analyst is also called as Business Process improvement.
Business Strategist
It’s very important to the organization to focus on their strategic policies on a frequent basis . Business analyst must be well versed in properly analyzing the strategic profile of the organization and also study about the business environment and should be able to advise senior management and make an immediate change on policy decisions.
Systematic analysis
Here in this aspect there is a need to align IT development with the systems. Oldest problem of any organization is how to increase the profits and how to get the best return from IT investments. Business analyst role here is to understand and analyze the requirements for their IT systems. Sometimes there will be overlapping happening between the developer and tester. Business analyst must always focus only on the IT part of the change process.
